"She was so wonderful and funny, I'm not a talker in classes but I absolutely loved how she tried to get the whole class engaged. I appreciate her so much because shes genuinely just an amazing teacher and I feel like I've learned so much from her this semester. Her content was challenging but not impossible, and she always found a way to make the class laugh. I think shes great and I would highly recommend her if you want to have a good time but also learn something."

What activities were the most valuable to your learning?
"I really thought that the little handouts and the color card activities helped benefit my learning. Getting to "participate" in the studies we were learning about as well as putting some of the concepts with actions allowed me to understand what the concept was actually getting at"
"This course not only exposed me to a new concept of psychology but also provided me with learning tools that helped me in all of my classes. I struggled a bit in this class but was always in communication with the instructor who was so wonderful and able to support me and my needs and also took time out of her day to help me best complete exams looking into my exam prep and my information processing. She clearly cares about her students btu is also not afraid to challenge us. The material was a lot but she did an amazing job breaking it down and then setting it up for the exam."
"I think that the learning curves were very helpful to my learning. I also think the lectures were organized into very good slides that were very engaging. The different kinds of homework assignments gave a variety that made me able to learn easier. Also, having review sessions for exams, class discussions, and group and partner work helped break up the class so it was less of my teacher talking at us and more engaging overall."

"The in class activities in this class were the most valuable because they allowed me to have hands on time with the material and work out any misunderstandings with fellow classmates. In addition, they were a nice way to break up the lecture heavy nature of this class"
"One thing that was really helpful for me was having to take notes on paper because there was no distractions and it helped me learn better if I could draw out the pictures. I also liked how she made study guides for us, that helped me narrow down my notes before the exam. Finally, I was thankful that she would post the slide show so I could pick up notes that I missed"
Would you recommend this course to other students?
"I think its a great course with great material, but I think what helped my understanding the most was our professor, she was so engaging and interesting to listen to. I would recommend taking this specifically with her, since she knows what shes doing and shes super passionate about it, and that definitely translates through her teaching."

"I think that this class is really nice for students with a large course load like I do because the material is really interesting and easy to learn in off time (that is when we have it). the material is difficult but not to the point where it causes stress. There is so much I could say about this class and how much I love it but it is my escape from how challenging and overwhelming my major actually is. I like to review the material between studying for my other classes because it actually makes me happy and if I wasn't a sophomore I may have changed my major to psych because of how much I like it"
